Our story
A brief history
INTERNATIONAL MEDIA ROOTS.
We began in the heyday of traditional advertising as an international publisher rep firm, helping Canadian brands reach audiences around the world through leading global publications. That international representation service still runs strong today with a curated roster of publisher partners.
Early to digital.
As media evolved, so did we. We were early to rich media, bringing HTML5 ad serving solutions to market, along with a booking referral engine that helped transform the tourism industry.
Programmatic pioneers.
In 2010, we launched one of Canada's first independent programmatic trading desks, then scaled the model across North America and into Europe and APAC. Along the way we learned that the most exciting work is audience driven and not limited by channel boundaries. Search, social, and emerging media expertise was added to our approach.
A full service media agency.
Today, Hatch specializes in everything paid media. Our team of media experts thrives on complex challenges and ambitious objectives. What hasn't changed in six decades is how we show up. We're built to deliver high touch service, strong partnerships, and campaigns that don't just deliver impressions, they elevate brands.

Annual impact program
We believe when you do well, you should do good. In 2026 we are launching an annual impact program, where each year we’ll partner with a local charity or non-profit to develop a pro bono advertising campaign. Tailored to their market and objectives, we'll help them establish a strong media foundation to grow from. Let us know if you have an organization in mind.
